Frequently Asked Questions

1. How many houses have you built and how long have you been in business?

Bratcher Construction, Inc. was started in 1983. We have built over 250 homes in Grayson and surrounding counties. Because of my experience I am well known throughout the area for building quality homes and running a successful business.

Although we do specialize in the mid to upper end homes, we do build in almost all price ranges. We are particularly proud of our designs for Rough River and Nolin Lakes. (See photo gallery for examples)

I have been a member of the Lincoln Trail Home Builders for several years. I am an active member and have served on the Board of Directors numerous times. I am also a registered builder and have served as chairman of the Registered Builders Committee.

2. How many homes do you typically have going on at once?

Typically we have 4-7 projects going on at any one time.

3. In what areas do you build?

Because we are a custom builder, we try to stay within 30 miles of Leitchfield in order to maintain the highest quality of your new home.

4. How much of the project do you (Keith Bratcher) manage?

I am involved in the pre-sale discussions and planning, site selection, plan design, estimating, spec and contract writing, scheduling, construction management, home owner walkthroughs, final closing preparation, and post-closing warranty servicing. The bottom line is that I am your builder and I am and always will be your main contact through the home building process.

5. What sets you apart from other builders? Please list a few examples.

Building a new custom home with Bratcher Construction, Inc. is a wise decision because we start with trust, we deliver quality, we meet and exceed expectations, and we stand behind our work. Our homes, in some ways, are not much different than most other builders' homes. We all put in concrete foundations and shingled roofs and install carpet, tile, cabinets, and decks. What sets us apart from others is how all these items are completed.

6. Do you have plans to choose from?

We have a few plans, but most of our homes are custom drawn by a local draftsman. There are usually changes associated with any plan, so we find it better to have a completed and correct drawing from the beginning.
